Hi i am having a problem with my bike. When i accellerate on my bike, my bike keeps on jolting and when im going at a steady speed it hardly jolts at all. Whrn it started it only did it abit when i just road off from stationary and it didnt do it at any other higher gear so i didnt even realy see a problem. But now it is getting much worse. I fort it might of been the spark plug but i got a new one and nothing change. So i went doen the local garage but they were busy for a few days. So dat is why i am here to see if anyone can suggest anything and see if i can fix it at all.

Thanks

Hi thanks for the advice. the bike keeps jolting when its dry, but i did try drying out spark plug and cap and also sprayed some dw40 over it but still didnt make a difference. Also the chain isnt too tight or too slack so thatd nog the problem.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

i don't think it sounds like clutch slip either.

To me it sounds like it could either be a dirty air filter, or fuel/carburettor related. Air filter is the easiest to check/change so would suggest that first failing that try taking the carb off and giving it a good clean.

start the bike and let her run, without load (not being ridden) and on tickover... does she tickover smoothly....

then increase the revs (to about 3000revs) and hold, how does she sound now.. increase and repeat,

then drop off the revs, and then slowly roll the throttle back,.. anything?

just trying to get some info on when and where the problem occurs..

you could have dirt in the fuel, or a dirty filter as mentioned earlier.. you could try the above without the filter, and see if it makes a difference, thereby discounting one..

the clutch would cause creep, when stationary and would also increase revs without speed..
