tanks removal on GSF 400 assisatnce please

I have removed the tank and pulled one of the 3 pipes out and cant for the life of me find out where it goes back


the overflow is in place and so is the pipe to the filter on the carbs , so is it the vacuum pipe that ive pulled out? if so where does it attach to as the manual does not show and i looked for hous now

Hi.


you should have one from the fuel tap, and one from near the front of the tank..


if you have a look at the fuel tap, check and see if there is another spigot poking out the back, this is the vacuum..

Lift your tank and look at the carbs, you will probably find a spigot in the middle of number 2 &3 for the vaccuum, but will find it easier to fit at carb end first and then fit to tank, due to space.. next time undo at tank the shape determines position as they will naturally point to the right spigot..

Just checked my GSX

the vacuum pipe goes from the tap on the left (sat in seat) to the right to a "T" piece and then to the right h/side carb (no 4, if you number them left to right), look at the carb above the oil filler and see....
