Anyone have any advice on the following.

Jacket sleeves too small to go over winter gloves so sleeves go inside of glove. When raining, water runs down said sleeve into glove, making inside of waterproof glove wet. Any ideas on how to stop this would be appreciated as this is the only bit of me getting wet in a down pour.

i got a similar problem with my heated gloves. no problem with my winter ones as they have a tie at the top of the gauntlet. the only thing i've managed to come up with it to keep our elbows lower than your hands. and i did think about using gaffa tape to seal it, but then you'd never take them off...

Go faster so rain blows of arms and not roll down into gloves, my gloves always go over me leathers i not have this prob

Funny that sparky, I did try keeping my elbows lower but riding the bike became a bit harder, and I had to stoop down to do so. (got a sit up bike)

nman,

i'm on a tiger, so it's not so easy either. the speed bit doesn't work for me, 'cos the fairing create a calm space, and the water goes down the gloves. at least it's warm water by the time it gets to my hands.

a lightweight rain jacket with elasticated cuffs, then you can pop it on and over the gloves,

Rob, if you gloves go over your leathers then the rain can get in, its when the gloves go inside that it works..

I know about the rainsuit thing, but its such a bloody hastle putting it on and taking it off when my textile jacket is waterproof. Plus I tend to sweat like a stuck pig with it on over my jacket. Suppose I just gotta put up with it...... I can take it.

I thought stuck pigs bled?!

Simple answer, Neil.....don't go out when it's raining! :D

...or just take your gloves off!

Yep, you`re right Mr Miller, stuck pigs do bleed...wrong comparison. As for not going out in the rain.....no choice mate. No car, and public transport sucks. 2 hours to do 7 miles the last time I used it.

 Ratser, it`s a perfect fit, the feckin cuffs just won`t go over my gloves.

you've got a new Richa RX-2 jacket ain't you? And the cuffs don't adjust enough to go over the gloves? And I'm assuming you've tried putting the gloves on before the jacket just to see if it will actually fit through the hole? (you only need to try with one arm obviously)...

If all else fails m8, like has been suggested.. change your gloves.

Cheers peeps for all suggestions.

Para, I did try these when I only had summer gloves and it was pi**ing down. They did keep the wind off but feck me if I`d have had an accident, it would have been like wearing dirty shreddies. :?
