MRBLUESKY Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Is there any way this seat can be raised, im stuggling with gears due to the low seat on this bike and being tall and i dont really want to change my bike just yetIs there such a thing to raise the seat ? Quote
Bill_on_a_bike Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I fear not, most 400s did tend to be quite small. Quote
jamesw Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 might it be possible to take the seat off, then take the cover off, pack it with more foam (or whatever is used) and then recover it?or perhaps you can adjust the gear selector to make it a little more comfortable? Quote
slugworth1987 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 move the gear selector a tooth or 2 upwards this will make life easier lol Quote

Adjusting the shock length is going to have no affect on the seat to gear change distance.I think your best bet is adjusting the gear linkage. It's not a particularly tricky job but if you're really unsure then have someone else do it. It shouldn't take much the longer than 10 minutes for someone who knows what they are doing. Quote
