stevie16v
because im keeping my bike outsid, i'd rather get it around the back of the house so it can get sheltered rom the road. problem is. i need to get it up 3 stairs, i struggled with a 125 so the sv is gonna be a no-go. so been looking at ramps. are they reliable/safe etc? Guest
Cant you just get a few friends round to give you a hand?edit: Oh sorry did you mean getting it up and down the stairs every day?
Guest philgale
cant you just make one.....should be easy enoughbare in mind if you get one that can fit the wheels only then you gotta get up and down in one go as you wont be able to put your feet down
Korben
A good aluminium ramp should be fine mate.....Could be a useful investment for a few things mate.Like Phil says though, a few bits of strong wood and you should be able to put something together... stevie16v
Cheers guys. Yeah it is going to be for daily use. I thought about making my own, but for materials etc it'd prob be about the same as buying one about £

boot
Please excuse the crude picture, I've never used sketch-up before and don't have Autocad on the computer I'm posting from.Just an thought, but if your steps are wide enough, you might get away with something a little more permanent, like this, where the ramp would be made of concrete. It would mean no messing about twice a day getting a ramp out and potentially having an accident should the ramp displace with the weight of the bike.I've seen almost the opposite done for cars, where people have put steps in steep driveways. Great idea, but unfortunately its a communal stairway, i share it with three other houses, 2 of them would be fine with it, but 1 who is a mid aged couple would just moan, they moaned about me parking my 125 out the front and aprently revving it late at night...WTF the latest i ever went out was 8pm to work, and had to use the choke, when i come in after a lateshift, i turned it off and pushed it up to the parking spot. Can't wait to see their faces when i appear with the sv! lol
