Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the white substance is likely to be in the breather pipe which goes from my airbox to the valve cover (there or their abouts).

If i look down it it has white gunk inside.

Should i be concerned with this or just clean / stick it back on?

Its a GS500 btw!

Thanks

Chris

it will be a mix of condensation and oil vapour, i wouldn't worry to much about it,

as your GS500 is aircooled, and not water cooled, its unlikely to be anything more serious..

the engine heats up when used causing the oil to turn to vapour, hence the breather pipe, and that with condensation will give you your white soapy residue..
