Start bike, with choke, warm up ...c lutch in, kick down, first gear!

Little revs .. slowly let out clutch.. hit bitin point bike moves slowly.. let out throught the bite and slowly out and revs up... and then i get chug chug chug.. dead!

i thought oh maybe its fuell .. so put it on reserve.. nothing!

There was a black substance comin outa the drain hole in one exhaust.. still questoinin whther this is oil or greasy dirty water as its all over the side stand.

If thts a clue?

Any ideas!? is there air gettin in somehwere?

right here goes, the black substance is exhaust carbon, not a major,.

however, your running problems could be linked to a badly fitting airbox, too much air getting in, or a blocked airfilter, not enough air..

also youve been doing other things, have you fitted them back correctly,

nah fair enough probably is something a bit wrong then.

As said above, cleaning the air filter, and tightening clips on rubbers between carb and airbox, and carb and engine, it can't hurt.

If your uncles going to clean the carb though, he'll have to loosen them all off anyway, when he puts them back i'm sure he'll tighten them up. Get your uncle or someone to check the float height while the carbs off aswell. Clean the air filter though, easy job and can solve what seem major problems.

good luck with it all :thumb:

How longg as it been sitting for bud? Might just be that the petrol has went stale. I bought a wee bike in november, Gave it a full strip down, clean and rebuild, Would go more than half a mile. Turned out to be stale fuel and a dodgy earth

If it's been sitting that long it's definately worth cleaning out the carb and the air filter.

I just realised you're not a million miles away from me mate, potential future rides spring to mind.

;) hvnt had a chance to speak to my uncle :( but im sure itll get done soon :D

... just down the road mate. and indeed :) when i pass my test and get a more reliable bike, im goin on every rideout possible! :D

So off to the set of garages out back.. and it was running :D .. i stalled a few times but i got to 2nd :D lol.

i think the bike seriously needs a carb and airfilter cleanup.

Acceleration wasnt like it normally is.. the carb clean and air filter i persume will help/fix this.. jst a guess lol.

Thanks for al help.
