Well my current one is looking like swiss cheese and is not making nice noises!

The cheapest Honda one I have found is from david silvers and will be £450 with the gaskets needed.

On ebay there are 2 and they are both a lot cheaper and both have had good feedback reports -

£160 gets you a stainless steel set with all gaskets needed - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0291249066

And £95 gets you a mild steel with most of the gaskets needed (my exhaust gasket seems ok anyway) -http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=150329141877

Bearing in mind I will getting a new bike in 12-18months is spending the extra £65 for stainless worth it?

Many thanks

Andy

if you are selling the bike in a few months, and want to patch it up, go steel, but Id say stainless, its also a good selling point when you get shut of it

the standard ones black? so i'd go steel, but if you were keeping it, and wanted something less maintenance then stainless

Well I went mild steel - they give it a 12 month warranty and I am hoping to be rid of this bike by then anyway!

The £60 saved will help pay for my new lid ;)

just give it coat of exhaust paint each year..

I could be wrong in this case, but it's the case with most gaskets that they should be replaced if disturbed, regardless of aparent condition.

Like I say could be wrong, but that was my understanding.
