Went out on the bike for the last 2 nights.. gettin it outa me garden i need to do a sharp right turn.. soo full lock... now this starts to kill the engine.. starts to die. keep a few revs on while like this, or turn back it stops dieing. Any ideas?!

Is there a cable loose, and turnin it right is affecting this?

Thanks for your help

could be coz its just cold and needs warming up

or its either stretching or slacking a cable off just have a look when its stood still if its restricting anything when on full lock

does it do anything when you turn while riding it? i.e u turns

Put the bike on the centre stand and move the bars left lock to right lock and see if occurs under those conditions - sounds like a snagged or faulty throttle cable to me though.

ok quickly checked. found the problem, i think.

full lock right, strectches the choke cable turnin the choke on - dead.

This is after we had to amend the position of the choke cable when we changed speedos. Soo my answer is this

do i have to have this bit on the bike, and for the choke to work, wanna double check before i take it off, i dont use it anyway.

Hi mate,

I'd aim to keep it if you can,

when the bikes cold and IN the cold it might not start v well and hence need the choke..

I'd try taking it off at the engine end and re route it.

Shouldn't be too hard to do just a bit of trial and error (unless you know the correct route)

i have to use the choke by the side of the engine rather than this anyway :( cos i need a new one.. think ill order a new one and then re-route it

cheers all

get your dad to knock up a bracket, so its not fowling anything lock to lock (full left to full right (Lockstops)).
