Rivington Barn, Bolton, Anyone been there?

Hi all,

I have heard from Family that Rivington Barn is a place that bikers meet near Bolton,

Anyone been there, whats the best roads, routes around the area,

Thinking about a run from Cumbria down there and back via skipton, big loop..

Used to go there alot. Top barn on a Sunday the busy day. Bottom Barn rest of the week.

Theres a nice run down on A roads if you come of at the Tickled Trout Junc at preston not sure of road numbers. and then a lovely road over the tops.

possibly May Bank Holiday weekend. as Jade Mongoose is off then aswell.

I've been a few times, went there earlier this year and it was really rammed. Nice place to stop, but I don't know the roads around the area.

Decided to hold this one off, bank hol weekend and all, gonna be busy, so taking a trip up to Hartside top Cafe instead, thanks for all your input, will bear it in mind for another run, sometime soon.

I've not been to Hartside but heard that the cafe and the roads around there are better than Rivvi Barn

we're planning a run up, the a6 to carlisle then into hartside from above and out the otherside, been before but took the same route in and out,,..

should be a giggle..

if your ever doing the run, i'm sure some of us would join you..

Yeh it will nice TBH Frankie i always keep an eye on runs up and around the lakes. One day i'll make one
