Stephen Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I was considering buying this product as it has all the upper body armour id need and was just wondering if anyone had any experience/opinions about it.ThanksStephen Quote
Korben Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Tried one mate, and didn't get on with it. Didn't feel I could move right in it at all.I would recommend you get a jacket with built in CE approved Armor in the Elbows and Shoulders then by a seperate back protector and if you want a chest protector which you can wear under it.That's what I wear and it's seriously comfy.Back protector is a Knox Contour and I have bought the Knox chest protector that attaches to the back protectors straps at the front. Gem Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 How about this? Or if you'd rather wear a shirt that has more all over protection, how about Knox Gilet Air or Knox Cross Shirt? You should go down to Busters and see if they have any so you can try them on! Quote
Stephen Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 Forcefield and Knox both do versions of a protective vest, but both offer level 1 protection. whereas the Alpinestars vest is level 2, that 1 of the reasons for preffering it Quote
Gem Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 The back and chest protection on those 2 Knox ones I linked to are level 2, its just the shoulder and elbow that's level 1... Quote
Jerry Can Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I have tried on one of these...http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/5674And must say it's very comfy and I'll be getting one next week and an Arlen ness urban jacket which has shoulder and elbow protection. Quote

I suspect the jacket only has level 2 chest and back protector... The shoulders and elbows are probably only 1.. Quote
