Saddle

Hi - another few questions.

I've just removed the saddle and as you see it's splattered with masonery paint and quite faded.

Anyone suggest the best way to remove the paint? I think the cover is a vinyl of some sort, so I need to be wary of what I use. And again what to use to remove the rust from the saddle? Can I restore the colour to the faded parts? And lastly, where could I buy replacements for the rusty metal end pieces of the strap?

I'm asking quite a lot, I know, but I've searched the forums and wasted so much on Google - I'm pretty sure someone here could tell me!

Being on a budget a new seat isn't an option.

Thanks again

Stevie

Agree upholstorers (sorry really cant spell that at this time of a morning.. student u see) lol... i got some extra padding put in mine and only cost me £20.

I know there are companies out there that do this kinda thing... friend had fancy seat done for his bandit, but was pricey.

Anything on Ebay?

Not heard a seat called a saddle in a long time

There are a number of options, even down to having a look on ebay or checking soem breakers for a nother seat....might be cheaper than recovering

Thanks for the advice and thanks for the link.

I can see now why I was wasting so much time on Google - they're seats not saddles! You have to laugh.....

don't know why I didn't think of it earlier,

Wemoto are an online shop, i've dealt with them before and there ver good, they do seat covers for £22.02 for the NSR125 88-89, but also cover other models / years, so give them a try.. also be able to supply most of your serviceable parts, Cables filters etc..
