Rigger Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Thought id make most of our nice weather here in Liverpool and go for a ride! Took me up through Maghull then out into the Ormskirk hills! Got to the top of Cleives Hill, and had a break, took in the views and a few snaps! I think this is one of the many hidden talents Liverpool possess', gorgeous views and immense roads! Went to carry on further but then seen i had only a quarter of a tank of petrol remaining So i returned back the way i came to refill and return home in time for tea! A few pictures!http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb217/rfn_rigby/DSC00724.jpghttp://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb217/rfn_rigby/DSC00725.jpghttp://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb217/rfn_rigby/DSC00726.jpgGot around the corner and seen this IMMENSE view!http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb217/rfn_rigby/DSC00727.jpg Quote
Pete Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I think I've heard about the "hidden talents" that people in Liverpool possess! A good scouse mate of mine refuses to comment...Nice pics ! Quote
Rigger Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Hahaha, the only hidden thing about tha talent is wha goes missing! Quote
asharin Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Cool a Peugeot Trekker...that's what I started with, lasted about 2 and a half months before I switched to a geared 125, but they're a fun little bike Quote

Ive applied for the Army, so fingers crossed i get in, ill be able to save up quite easy for a newish 125!Should be easy to get in the army now, not like when i wanted to join when i was 16 'twas when they were having cutbacks, so any excuse to not let you in, they used it. Shame really, i passed every other test to get into the Air corps, but failed the medical because I had Asthma ....I've never had asthma in my life, just one year previously I had a bad bad cough and doc gave me brycanol (sp?) which is often given to asthmatics...of course army doc saw that and instantly said 'No way'...coulda tried again 2 years later but 1st kid was on the way by then lol..Mrs didn't like the idea of me joining the army...Kinda pissed on my entire life plans that really...I'm not bitter though..honest..f**kin army Quote
Rigger Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Hahahaha. Ive applied once before, when i was 16 actually. They said no but ive recently been in contact with a specialist in the area of wha stopped me from gettin in, an they reckon now tha am 18, i should be able to get in, so ive got a letter off my GP statin im fit to train etc. So fingers crossed! Mightycaz Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 The best thing about joinin the forces is they will teach you to drive a car and probably a bike so you may not ever get a geared 125 but just jump straight upto something bigger! A mate of mine joined the Army for 3 years and came out with car/bike, fork lift, HGV and tractor licences. He was well chuffed coz he loves bein able to say he can legally drive anything with an engine (unless it flies!). Quote
