Guest Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Its time to return to porridge, so here is my return route which according to google should take 4 hours, but I am giving myself just over 6 hours. I have to be in Holyhead by 4.00 p.m. so i am setting off from Evesham around 9.30.Here is my route:A44 towards WorcesterA4538 around WorcesterA449 towards kidderminsterA458 towards Bridgnorth via Shrewsbury bypassA5 all the way via Oswestry, LLangollen, Corwen, Betwsly-CoedA55 to Holyhead.Anyone free with nothing to do is more than welcome as I would appreciate the company and to get to know other members.I ust admit that the weather does not seem to be perfect as tomorrow's forecast is for light rain. Guest Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Hi,Got in about an hour ago. Horrendous weather in Wales, especially after BetwsCoed (sp?). Heavy rain then terrible winds. Sometimes I wondered if I should stop.Anyway, got the ferry to Dublin and hit wind again. Further up north when it started to get dark it started raining heavy which was a bummer. All in all, certainly not a day for a ride if it could be avoided. But this time I met quite a few bikers who were taking the ferry to Dublin. A group of 5 Goldwing riders, another chappie that was over on a Kwak for the weekend, about 15 Poles with different bikes, a couple of KTMs (man and a woman) and a few others, so there were about 30 bikes in total. At least it was an experience. Guest Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Some pics. Not very interesting except the vintage cars were nice. I passed them on the way then watched them come in. The Morris aparantly can do a maximum speed of 30 mph http://www.parsdatastore.co.uk/images/bike/04052009031.jpghttp://www.parsdatastore.co.uk/images/bike/04052009032.jpghttp://www.parsdatastore.co.uk/images/bike/04052009034.jpghttp://www.parsdatastore.co.uk/images/bike/04052009035.jpg Quote
