Mightycaz Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Hi, I noticed yesterday that my rear left indicator isnt working, I changed the bulb (twice!) and the fuse but it is still not working. I have spoke to an auto electrician over the phone and he said it was probably an eath fault, How would i find this fault and put it right? I tried to book into a garage but its gonna be a week before someone can look at it and i dont wanna get pulled over by the 5-0 whilst waiting. Its a suzuki VL 125 Intruder by the way. Thanks all Quote

Roadtorque Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Not a lot of help I know,But the first earth point is inside the lamp bodyusually a spade connector on the side of bulb holder,,,I would check that first, also that there's power at the live cable,,,After that,, like you,, Cry for help Quote

Matt Strange Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I've had loads of problems with bullet connectors, I usually chop them off now & solder/heatshrink the wires. Quote

MightyCaz, thanks (I Think?) i was first into bikes in the early 1990's so have dealt with a lot of your newbie problems, and help others out locally, we had a get you home fix for indicators which involved chewing gum foil... but times have moved on, and i doubt you want a quick fix..I try to monitor posts on here, but some like the big bikes are out of my expertease, but some problems are the same no matter the size of bike,... most of my bikes have been projects as they're cheaper and i enjoy tinkering,...
