I have a kymco stryker 125,

and the last few days the electric start has not been working.

Mainly since i fitted a halogen bulb which was getting too hot, so i removed it.

the electric start trys its best but doesn't seem to have enough power to get the engine turning over.

Can anyone think of the problem causing this, and the solution.

It sounds like either your battery does not have enough power or there is something wrong with your starter motor.

your halogen bulb was probably taking to much power so your batteries low.

Bump/Kick start it and take it for a decent ride to charge up the battery.

I did that last night.

But i have now been told the voltage rectifier may be screwed.

The rectifier/regulator was changed less than 6 months ago.

The battery seems to be fine.

I give the solenoid a hit.

Best way i can describe the sound its making is like theres something loose below the petrol tank

Last night, my dipped beam blew, so used my main beam to get home, it was dying, and then going stupidly bright once my revs were high.

Then ittermitently flashing, and when i put my indicator on it was alternate flashing with my headlight.

Also the lights on the speedo were dying, so obviously must be the reg/rec
