Guest Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 i dont know about sat navs on a bike.................was giving this some thought the other day but due to the amount of times my tom tom one has told me to turn left at the last minute and as i rear across three lanes n nearly head of the m1 bridge insteada down the slip road im thinking could these potentially cause more nightmares than help?has anyone on here tryed these out at all? and are they without sound on a bike? for me its a dilema when my new wheels do arrive because im the only person i know that gets loat with sat nav so without it potentially i could end up at lands end...................lol Quote
brendan002 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I've got a Tom Tom Rider 2 specific for bikes and think it's great. Mounts on handle bars in seconds, waterproof and you get a Scala headset to attach to helmet. Got a speaker that goes in helmet without interfering with fit and mike if you want to connect to mobile phone. Uses bluetooth between satnav and headset so you don't have to connect your phone if not wanting to take calls which I don't.Only trouble is they are double the price of car sets. Best price I could get a year ago was £280 on Amazon official site for a new one. RRP 350 at the time.Only got it as the wife got new car and £200 sat nav was offered as a tempter, told salesman that we already had one and if he wanted sale would rather cheque for £200. Got the cheque! Good day for me, wife got new car. Quote
