HT Lead & Cap

Recommended Posts

Hey

I need to replace the HT Lead and cap bit that plugs onto the end of the spark plug since it has a really bad connection and you need to wiggle it about to get it to connect and once it came unconnected whilst I was going.

Anyway, I have ordered the correct cap/plug bit as well as 12" of HT cable for my bike.

Is this easy to fit? How would I got and do it, I don't want to mess it up.

I am not great with electrics, how do I attach the lead to the plug bit and then were do I put in the other end of the lead?

Is there anything else I would need to do?

Cheers

if the HT lead isn't broken then just replace the cap..

to replace the lead, you'll need to lift the tank, get the coil and attach one end to the coil, the other to the cap.. however at the coil they are hard fit, so it would need a connector ..

replace the cap and see if this solves your problems.. i believe they are a threaded fit so its a case of screwing it onto the lead..

Ok I will try replacing the cap first, I guess I just need to make sure the connection between them is good right and theres good contact?
