I have put a universal cone filter onto my bike, its a 125 4 stroke.

The original air box was leaking in water and I cannot get hold of an air filter for it anymore, and just cutting foam would not work because if the shape and design if the airbox.

Because I have put a cone filter on now, it of course draws in too much air and is not letting enough fuel in and so bogs down and mis-fires but is still rideable.

Would putting a bigger jet in the carb give it enough fuel to run properly?

Its a 1999 Kymco Stryker, and the airbox was knackered and was not sealing. So now I have a universal cone filter, and to restrict the air flow until I get a bigger jet,

I have made this;

It actually works and sounds mental now for a 125 4 stroke.

well thats ingenious... i've recycled Red Bull cans as starter motor covers on Bandits/GSX, but not used one as an airbox..

I'm going to make a 2 stage foam filter in a beer can next.

With a cold air feed going to the front of the bike
