Guest Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 All right guys Im new to the page Im from Northern Ireland I drive a Hyosung GTR 09, Not sure if this is in the right section, Basicly when I put Her into gear (Any gear) there is no drive what soever, you can hear her click into gear but no joy. Any ideas Quote
Pete Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Hello mate welcome to the forum. Sounds a lot like a problem with your clutch to me. If the gear is engaging and the bike isn't stalling then i'd guess at the clutch being constantly open. That'd also explain the no drive problem. First thing I'd check would be the clutch cable or if it's hydraulic check the fluid and make sure it's all working OK. you say it's an 09, surely it's still under warrenty? Can you not just save yourself the bother and get Hyosung to fix it for free? Quote
Guest Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 welcome (sounds like the clutch i had a similar problem with my aprilia) Quote

Grumpy Old Git Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Check the clutch cable - it should be under slight tension when lever is at rest.If this seems OK. Disconnect cable from the clutch input and drop into gear (engine off!) and try and push the bike - If engine turns over problem lies with the cable (tension / stuck). If engine does not turn, remove clutch drive cover and check compressor plate is fullly out (could be stuck in {compressed}). If OK, you have a serious problem in the gearbox. If stuck in, then need to dismantle, clean (fix/replace plates, springs, cups if damaged) and re-assemble. fairly easy job.All the best,GOG Quote
