Korben Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Going to the Rally? No idea where it is? Meet up and ride in together!!Click on the link below.http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?source ... 35962&z=104 meeting points (In Blue) have been arranged with members who know where MFN is. Clicking on these links will give you the details of who and at what time. The red marker is MFN itself. The yellow marker is where myself and maybe a couple of others will be meeting people should they not be able to make any of the other arragement times. If you think you will need to meet me at the yellow marker, please PM me asking me for my number so you can text me when you arrive. I may not answer immediately due to being on the road at the time, but I won't leave you there too long.Lastly, if anyone else (who knows where MFN is) would like setup a meeting point to ride in themselves please let me know when and where and I will add you to the map.Any questions ask in this thread. Thanks Quote

Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Just give me a bell and let me know what time you're likely to arrive Ian.It takes me about three minutes to get there from my house, so flexible with timing!Just don't leave me there sitting around with a McDognuts' type stench wafting through the air, I'll be like a beach ball (well, more like one, at least) by the time you arrive from gromphing on Ratburgers. Korben Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 At the moment it looks like it's going to be raining pretty much all day tomorrow around here... Bit of a downer. I will freely admit I am not too happy riding in the wet, so if it's looking on the heavy side I won't doing too much riding, if any. Apologies for this, but I won't ride outside my comfort zone.Look at the route and way in to MFN... The road gets very narrow within the last few hundred metres which might convince you that you have taken a wrong turn... If you put in the postcode for MFN (NG16 3JE) into Google maps you will see a narrow road called "Long Lane" goes through the grounds.I would personally recommend coming off the A610 while heading Eastbound towards the M1 at the small slip road. Then after coming off the A610 (The slip road is small so be wary of that, follow that road until it comes to the end (Only about 150 metres). Turn left there, then left at the end of that road. You will instantly go over a bridge then reach the end of that road. Turn left there as well. That road is a long straight which bends to the right at the end. After that the road gets narrower and narrower. Over a couple of small hump bridges and speed bumps, then it opens up into MFN.Look at this Google Map linkhttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 6&t=h&z=15Ride safe everyone!! Quote

Korben Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 Both Akey and Sheepy are happy to hand out their mobile numbers to anyone needing them. Either PM them or me and we will let you know. Quote

Korben Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 i'll be coming down church street off the big roundabout /one way thing on the map, A608, see you's all Tommorow, Hi Mate... If you come onto the A610 off that roundabout it's the 2nd slip road you want. First one takes you to mini industrial estate.EDIT: If you suddenly see Ikea on your left you missed the 2nd junction... Come off at the slip road next to Ikea and use the roundabout at the bottom of there to turn round and get back on the A610. Go back to your first roundabout and try again... Quote
