Guest Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 everyone remembers bad customer service... good customer service is harder to come by..but for the bike shops in Barrow, LA14Good - JohnWren YamahaBad - Crooks Suzuki.which says a lot when i ride a suzuki.. Quote
Pete Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Centres I don't like (because of staff attitude mainly):- J&S in Birmingham (sold me the wrong parts quite a few times then denied it afterwards!). Maybe they should stick to clothes. Staff attitude is generally OK.- Frettons Suzuki in Leamington Spa (really pissed off that I called them up for a part, told them I was on my way, travelled 45 minutes and they'd shut half an hour before closing time! Maybe the manager wasn't in, he's usually a great guy...but I won't be going back there)Good places:- Sherwood Motorcycles of Hall Green. Very reasonable prices and the elderly gent that works in there is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.- Stealth Motorcycles in Redditch. It's a little place hidden round a few corners on an industrial estate. Staff are very, very friendly, always been offered a cup of tea/coffee every time I go in (I don't even know them!), and they don't try and fiddle the customers (I still owe them 20p from when I got my MOT done there - they didn't have the right change) Quote
Korben Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Agreed Pete.. Centre's can be dodgy...Would recommend CMC's in Chesterfield though. They are a friendly group. Chatty without being pushy. They will stand and talk to you even though they know you are not there to buy anything.... Quote
Guest akey Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 CMC Chesterfield, easily the best service I have ever had (in 17 years), friendly and honest in sales, superb in aftersales support, reasonable servicing costs, and great service. I would be happy to talk to anyone for hours about how well they have treated both willow and I over the last 2 years or so.Happy to provide more detail if wanted. Quote

Colin the Bear Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Not telling. You'll all be using it and then I'll have to queue. Quote
Guest Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 shame, we could do with some more nominations, for the cause... unlike cars, which have the good garage scheme, there's no way of telling whether a garage is a good one or not. so hopefully, with your recommendations and the ones which are coming in we're going to be able to help riders, and also help good, honest, hardworking garages.
