iWannaGoFast Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 £160 gloves? They better save your ass (hands then) one day. Couldn't they put heels on the boots to make you look a bit taller? Quote
Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Looking good buy the best you can afford is advice thats always given. It may sound alot but when you need it least you know it's going to do its job.only advice is maybe insure it? you can get add ons to your bike insurance might well be worth a look Quote
PhatDad Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I thought you were supposed to fill them so they are quite tight around your body and therefore cutting down the drag. Hopefully one day you'll grow into those. Quote
Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 The pants are baggy standing up, but sitting down they are nice and snug.BTW: i was slouching Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Get yourself a dark visor as well ( + £35) Quote
jimsoon Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 get one of those fog inserts, with the auto darkening tint! Quote
techno Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I can understand paying more for some kit but,I dont care who makes them £160 for gloves is a right rip off! Quote
Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Well yeah i know, but still got em now, and im happy Quote
cruz Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Being a brand label lover has it's costs eh Price of the lid seems acceptable, as for the rest 'you wuz robbed'. Equally good kit out there for less but won't have the flash (costly) brand name.As long as your happy. Quote
jimsoon Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 its all about looking good!! otherwise whats the point!! lol Quote
cruz Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 its all about looking good!! otherwise whats the point!! lolFor some your probably right , no mater how tongue in cheek the comment. It's all about being safe and able to afford to ride your bike. If you want to look good and impress people buy a ragtop sports car, an Armani suit and a pair of £200 shades. Quote
MtotheJ Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Arent they still doing 0% finance there? Looking good though mate, nice to another bike looking after his skin! Better than most ive seen around in vests the last few days! But yeah, like MK said, get a dark visor really finishes off the look! Quote

Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Havent seen a Power Ranger in that colour before Looking good mate, and a very wise choice of gear, which you won't regret Quote
Colin the Bear Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Surprising how good the service gets when a 20% commission on over a grand is at stake.I kitted myself out top to toe for the price of your gloves. Shop around and then haggle hard. Doesn't matter how little you pay if it's good gear. And dear leather still goes smelly. Keep an eye on the bathroom scales be a shame to see it on e bay next year.Titanium knee sliders on a 125? I think I'd have been asking for a spare visor for the helmet Quote
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Came free with the trousers/pants whatever..And yes i could have looked round etc, but I'm still a newbie and I don't know an awful lot about all the gear etc.Plus alot of the cheaper stuff wasn't quite a good fit, being small is a PITA, I did have a cheaper set ready to buy, but then saw something else that fitted perfect, shame i didnt look at the price til i tried them on Thanks for the comments though. Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I came of my bike the first time wearing A £100 set of leathers, they didn't need to cut them off because they practically fell of Second time in the Aplinstar not even a stitch broken .. You get what you pay for at the end of the day in quite sure your life is worth more than £1190 not that you need to justify how you spend your money anyway Quote
Korben Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 All looking mate... Yeah it cost a lot, but that cost is gonna seem like nothing if you end up in a bad situation while riding. Quote
Jurgen Da Silva Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 right - off you go and get some oil, grime and dead flies on your kit. Enjoy Quote
