kojak_79 Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Just been out in a new set of one piece leathers, me first pair and as there new and a tight fit they feel quite restrictive, just wondering how many hours riding does it take for them to loosen to your body. Quote
TC Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 In this weather they will soon become soggy and stink like you've had them for years. Quote
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 It shouldnt take to longsilly as you may feel wear them around the house to help bed them in, its more comfortable than on the bike lol Quote

brooklyn Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I got my set today from J&S suit, boots n gloves as they had a blue X sale Berik in blue/black to go with my bike.. My suit is very tight just like a second skin. Just need the stretchy top n bottoms to go with them from DK i think. Quote
Colin the Bear Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Best way to break in leathers is to go to bed in them. Quote
kojak_79 Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 might scare our lass and i recon i would overheat. Hope they stretch soon there hurting me nuts a bit, and me corning has gone to shit as all me movements are jerky. Quote
stelmer Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Best way to break in leathers is to go to bed in them. Being a newbie, a couple of years ago I believed that and did it one cold winter's evening. So uncomfortable till I took the armour out. Gotta keep the room cool though.Getting them damp helps break them in apparently. However, you need to keep them on till they have dried off and wax them soon as. I do it for gloves. After a few wax treatments, they're soft and showerproof. Quote
Jurgen Da Silva Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Best way to break in leathers is to go to bed in them. nah, I just wear 'em and the massive levels of testosterone I give off as a big hairy chested biker make even the stiffest leather supple Quote

Guest akey Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Mine took a couple of rides to break in. It depends on the make etc, but I found a good leather treatment helps as well. Quote
