Good Place to buy new kit near Blackpool/Preston

Anyone know a reasonably priced place that will give good advice to newbie when buying Helmet, Boots, Gloves, leather Jacket etc preferably around the Blackpool/Preston area?

Hein Gericke have a store in Preston. Stuarts leathers are in down town Preston.

theres a bike shop in blackpool and a yamaha dealer in fleetwood, yell.com.. haven't bought from either, but window shopped in the fleetwood one, good staff, knowledgable and not after a fast sell..
