if it needs running in then the dealer should give you a run through of the do's and donts, but generally keep in a higher gear than normal and dont exceed 65/70% of the usable rev range, and don't red line... run in is approx 300 miles.. after that increase rev range slowly, the bike will get a feel for your riding style but dont BREAK it in..


some engines are bench tested now so no need to run them in, but again CHECK WITH YOUR DEALER.. its your warranty..

The power will be restricted to meet legal requirements so don't worry about it. Ceramic is harder than metal and should be trouble free. Just be gentle with it.



Remember



Steady on those new tyres for the first few miles.


The brakes will not be at their best till they've bedded in.


Keep an eye out for leaks and bits dropping off or working loose.
