Guest akey Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Well having watched the latest motogp and doing more thinking on this foot down style. It would seem that both Rossi and a few others actually drag their feet on the floor, its always during braking. Now could this be to provide a bit of a chance should the front start to tuck during hard braking? MX riders do a similar thing with the foot out thing, part of it is to be able to kick the bike back up should the front tuck.Just a thought. Quote
Guest philgale Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 didnt work for lorenzo commentators did say they were checking how slippy it was in the first few laps... Quote
duane69 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I think its a braking aid, like when they sit up after the straight a bit like a parachute Quote
Guest Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I think it's coz he's got cramp riding that little bike Quote
Steve365 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 In a 'test' the other day, I stuck a leg out (nearest I'll ever get to a motogp ride!) and there was a noticeable loss of speed, so my money is on the 'airbrake' option. When I stuck both legs out, I was nearly dissected!! Quote
