Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Hi, my boyfriend has a Honda Fireblade, his birthdays coming up and I want to get him something for his bike, but Im so new to bikes that I have literally no idea what to get him! Any advice would be very welcome! Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Do you want something serious or something jokey? (or both?) Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Techno and MonkeyknuckleHi, thanks for replying. I dont mind if its jokey or serious. He just bought a new helmet, and I think hes sorted for boots too. I dont have a massive budget really, 150 pounds absolute max, so I dont think I could afford decent leathers. Would you recommend buying something for the bike, or accessories for him? I could upload a picture of the bike so you can see what hes done with it already? Quote
techno Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 well lets look at the bike anyway And if you want to stay around why not introduce yourself in mewbies and maybe get him to join as well Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Cheers, picture attached. Ill get him to join, but not til Ive gotten his present, dont want him to find out Ive cheated by asking advice Quote
Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 You should go to the garage (suzuki dealers) and buy a nice, decent looking Suzuki logo to stick over that crappy Honda one!Either that, or for under £100 you can get some half decent luggage (tank bag, tail pack etc) Quote
techno Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Shut up sheepy bloody bandit owner!! Wow thats a stunning bike now where have I seen one like that before Oh yeah here's mine Quote
Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 See? Another one in need of some Suzuki refurb Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Hahaha, I can see Im in the right place for advice!! At least from techno Ill bear your advice in mind when Im looking for my own bike Sheepy. So techno, what would you recommend? Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 You could get him some nice stubby levers. He doesn't have them in the picture.Something like these: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... ZB-55B/BLK You'd need to know the exact year and model of his bike but it looks like it's the same as Techno's anyway. Quote
techno Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Well he ceratinly dont need cleaning products his bike puts mine to shame Or instead of some accesories what about some tickets to a bsb round?A tinted visor for his new helmet, some cleaning products for his gear??? Quote
Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 There's always a magazine subscription I guess, if he has a favourite.Or maybe some associated Honda branded clobber (jackets are good, I bought my Mrs a SUZUKI one at the weekend to match mine - you never know, he might reciprocate one day) Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 You can buy Honda clothing from here: http://www.clintonenterprises.com/acata ... onda_.html Quote

Guest Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Sorry, like I said Im new to this, what exactly do you mean by minichamps? minichamps is a manufacturer..as a build it yourself kit...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-CBR-1000RR- ... 7C294%3A50or the better one, larger scale like previous picture from NewRay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR1000RR-2 ... 7C294%3A50 Quote
brendan002 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I would go with the levers suggestion, gets rid of the larger stock ones and it is one of the main parts of riding his bike so if you get some nice ones he will love it. £150 will get really good ones like Pazzo's or something similar, which another blade rider can probably point out which are the best. Not got one myself but would love some non stock levers, but there is always SO much to buy!! Lol Quote

Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Techno,You mentioned tickets to a bsb round as a gift idea, do you know of any taking place between the 3rd and 11th of October, within driving distance of Brighton? Or have you any idea where I could get that information? Thanks! Quote
