wannars125 Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 She picked it up from it being on its left side. After having dropped mine on the right, I'd personally put the side stand down before lifting to make sure I didn't drop it on the left!! Quote
Guest Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 yes, if you can... put the side stand down so that you can put in onto it once lifted, also, if you can get to the side stand, then put the bike in gear, stops it trying to walk down the road, whilst your lifting it..however, if you have dropped it, because you thought the stand was down, so the bike is resting on the stand/gear side, then something like what is shown here will help.. wiggleit Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Have looked at a couple of these vids and they're v helpful....one thing I haven't found tho is - if bike falls to left ie you cant put into gear....and you are also on a slope - so bike will roll away when lifted- does this technique work whilst holding front brake?Yes...this happened to me recently I managed to get it up holding just the bars but nearly suffered a prolapse in process Quote

"> a right side lift, means you can put the stand down and the bike in gear, but as the stand is on the left, most fallen bikes are on the left, as they stand wasn't down properly, or the bike has rolled off on a slope.. leaving a bike in gear acts as a handbrake, so stops your bike rolling off its stand on a slope.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7__QyFN6 ... re=related Quote
