Guest Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Anyone recomend a decent online store for buying a tyre?Cant find one for less than £90 Thought that was expensive for a tyre for a kawasaki ER-5 ?not the standard wheels i was told when i bought it , size is 150/60 17 and its rear tyre. Also something i cant figure out. the tread on the middle of the tyre is perfect, plenty on it but its wearing thin at the edges , it not usually wear the centre first then to the outside? Guest Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 under-inflated, hence the centre line being okay, and the outside worn, Had it long, i bet it rode on rails.. you'll find it better with correct inflation..i'm trying Maxxis supermax, cheaper, but very capable tyres..show us your wheel, l think the previous owner may have had oversize tyres, hence the wear pattern, not recommended..the wheel should be a 3 spoke, like this..http://www.xorro.co.uk/vehicles/er5/er5_002.jpgstandard size is 130/70/17..what are you running up front?? Make/model.. Quote
Guest Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 not had it long, only used it about ten times and i noticed it felt a bit twitchy when leaning, tyre looked good when i got it, the rim looks the same but tyre is obviously wider,so would the standard size tyre fit that rim or is it maybe a different one? I took pics last night to put on here but bluetooth thing didn't work on my laptop and couldn't find data lead, also do you know roughly what the tyre pressure should be and i.ll check it tonight?
