wannars125 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I'm sure I've seen cyclists with drinks bottles with an extra long straw but I can't find anything. Was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this for motorcyclists? Quote
JoshRS Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 ooo i saw like a water pouch thing in hein gericke today, only like a tenner. i'll try and find it for you...edit: http://goldwingcustomizing.com/detail.c ... t_ID=16573BOTA BLADDER. wanted something like this myself for a while nowedit #2: seems to only be available in america, or not available in the uk, could try your local HG or i'd do a pick up for you if you want. PhatDad Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I have a camelbak that i'm yet to use on the bike but you can by cheaper bladders without the bag that you can put in any bag, tank bag etc. Most rucksacks now come with a headphone and hydration holes in them to allow you to use these hydration bladders. Guest Mr Miller Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 On the fly drinks are a good idea but as Frankie says, "A rides not a ride without a stop for coffee!" Quote

wannars125 Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 cheers Pete & Josh those ones look good.I know a ride isn't a ride without a few stops but don't class commuting as a proper ride! Quote
TC Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Why dont you stop every couple of hours stretch your legs and have a drink then.It will keep you more alert and safer in the saddle.Lets be honest we dont live in a massive country do we. Quote
Guest Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I have a camelbak and a platapus system, used for walking and when in the field, never needed one on the bike, prefer to stop, get a stretch and a brew and chat to the local wildlife.. birds preferred.. next you'll be after a cup holder... Goldwing anyone... Quote
Colin the Bear Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 I can't imagine what sort of mess it would make trying to take a drink at 70mph on a motorway, with a full face helmet on. If you're too tight to buy a brew, or too shy to stop, take a small flask. Quote
Guest philgale Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 i got a camel back thing, 12 notes from decathlon...i use it on my mountain bike but intend modifying my speed hump on my leathers to fit it in there Quote

JoshRS Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 can't you fill them with tea? by the way, they're meant to be filled with ice too. plus it's on your back, and back sweat is cool so won't make the water warm, according to my chef at work anyway Quote
