blakeatron Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Just bought a 98 hornet 600 that has had a streetfighter front added.I have to say it looks pretty cool but does not function too well... The front bib is held on with elastic bands Also the speedo is something more akin to a road racing bicycle rather than a motorbike - please bear in mind this thing has a current MOT!!!1. The lights are an easy fix I think - just purchase some and stick them on??maybe - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Twin-Streetfighte ... 286.c0.m142. I want a proper speedo and maybe a rev - the bloke says the wiring is there, and after having a look there does appear to be a lot of wires all taped up and some connector blocks. I was thinking about something like this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trail-Tech-Digita ... 286.c0.m14orhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Digital-Speedo-Di ... 286.c0.m14I am quite confident about fitting these parts - but would a haynes manual give me the necesary wiring diagrams? Stu Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 a haynes will have all the wiring diagrams you need and more a lot of people use the Trail Tech dash and they are supposed to work well Quote
Guest Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 theres links to manuals here.. including a 900 hornet.. and some cb600f..http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 46&start=0 Quote
blakeatron Posted August 15, 2009 Author Posted August 15, 2009 Cheers but ordered a haynes anyway - had an amazon voucher burning a hole!I think I will be going for a trailtech dash as I can leave the current wiring as is and use the new kit supplied with the dash.Looking at lights it looks like I can get some nice twin rounds on some fancy brackets then mount the indicators off the brackets.Just need to get the bike home to measure it up, but cant ride it as not taxed and its not letting me online! And dont have the internet at the workshop Quote
