Guest Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Hey Guys, First time on the forum so was wondering if anyone could help.Ive got a Honda XR125 thats had a few scrapes in its time and i was wondering if anybody had any advice on how to repair the plastics. The problem is its not the heavy plastics you get on big bikes which is easyly sanded, filled and sprayed. its a lightweight acrilic style plastic. And failing any advice on repair, does anyone have any advice on were i can get replacements. keeping in mind there not broken just scrached. And advise is much apreciatedThanks Dan Quote
Mk5Centurion Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 I would imagine that acerbis or someone else would do the plastics for a common model like that; WalneyFrankie will be along soon - he is a fountain of much knowledge.Pop into newbies and say hello if your staying! Quote

Guest Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 the plastics quite soft, but you can polish some out with plastic scratch polish.. used for caravan windows so doesn't scratch/swirl..if they're cracked a plastic weld, could help, (basically you melt the back of the crack and fill with the plastic that comes with model aircraft (the spare stuff from the frame..) all you need is a soldering iron.."> otherwise go for replacements, as mentioned before Acerbis do stuff, used a lot for Paris-Dakar and racing as its easily replaced.. http://www.mandp.co.uk/products/list/Of ...
