hi guys, i have just put a new scorpion can on my CBR600F. when i took it out it started runnung erratically, missing at low speeds e.t.c.... why would it do this? I hear i may need to get it re mapped.is this correct and does it cost much?.... it is the fuel injection model...PLEASE HELP..................... THANKS........ :crybaby:

If it is the correct Scorpion can then there is no need to get it re-mapped. Scorpion actually test each design on the bike with a dyno to ensure that it is safe to fit with no other modifications. I am assuming that it was a standard can on the bike before you fitted the scorpion can?

It might have been a problem that was around before but because of the new can you are now more aware of it.

HI.. Im not sure if its set for cbr. i bought it from a friend so im not sure. i did nt realise they had to be specific to a certain model. :hammer: . the bike seemed to be running perfectly fine before. is there anything i can do or do i need to change the can back to the standard for now

difficult to say without hearing the bike or knowing what exactly its doing. Was it the standard can before?

Would be worth putting standard one on and seeing if the symptoms continue, if so then its an underlying problem. If not then its probably the can.

Is the bike carbs or injection?

its the programmed fuel injection model.. pgmfi.. i changed it back to the standard and it was fine. scorpion back on and running bad again.... i have no doubt the can is the problem.... can it be re mapped

you can do, but you will need a powercommander which are not cheap, you will then either to get it re-mapped on a dyno probably with a custom map again not cheap. If I remember right it would be cheaper to get teh right can from scorpion.
