Guest Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) Has anyone used the 'Mototune' method *link removed by admin* of running-in?If so, have you found any of the benefits claimed? If this has been dealt with by a previous thread, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction to find it. Guest Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 There are loads of them around..TBH better just to use the manufacturer's method.
Colin the Bear Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I think anyone who refers to breaking in an engine must be a cowboy
Guest Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 ...anyone who refers to breaking in an engine must be a cowboy err...well, the website (mototune usa) is American (may even be in the Wild West!) and it's a way the Americans describe things - you know, a bit like petrol and gas. So I'll take it as a 'no' from you then Colin. Thank you for taking the time to participate in the survey.
Bill_on_a_bike Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 seeing as how the links gone can you tell us what you're on about?
Voodoo Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 seeing as how the links gone can you tell us what you're on about? They way I understood it was, you warm the engine up completely, then you just nail it everywhere!
techno Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 sounds like a day out riding with techno And you love it
Bill_on_a_bike Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 oh yeah i've heard of this, logic tells me it's a bad idea, can't help but feel it's a tad wreckless. Can't be good for piston rings can it?
Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 seeing as how the links gone can you tell us what you're on about? Apparently, the link ws moved by some unkown person in admin - all rather mysterious The link has been restored, which is: 'link removed by Admin'If you Google 'mototune running in' it comes out top of the list or just go to you can get the info if oyu want.I'm only looking for comment by those who have used this method and not general comment. However, thank you to those who have taken part in the survey.
