Ingah Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Does anyone have any recommendations for rubber gloves I could use when getting my hands dirty working on the bike? I'm looking at cheap, and think reusables may be better because i'd only need to buy them once! Quote
Guest Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 if you want something more durable than the garage gloves (latex/latex free) then just use washing up gloves.. or you could go for the heavy duty black rubber ones,.. (just be careful where you leave them.. ) me, i have a box of the thin ones, then they go in the bin, when the jobs done, saves getting oily fingers on the next job.. halfords disposables 8.99/100 = 18phalfords car wash gloves 2.99 Quote
Guest akey Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I use the disposables they work out cheaper and probably better cos you only need to catch thicker gloves on a split pin or something and they are done in.If you just want work gloves have a look at mechanix they are £15 but very very good gloves, although they are not oil proof Quote
Guest Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Milking Gloves.http://www.dairyspares.com/images/large/105.jpgI've tried loads of latex gloves, but after being given a couple of pairs of these to try - they really are better than the rubbish they sell in DIY shops and garages. They are much harder wearing meaning you don't get through 50 pairs while doing a simple brake pad change. They are "100% nitrile"... whatever that means. As for where to get them - try the dairy supplies. They are about £10-ish for 100 pairs, which seems expensive, but they last a lot longer than latex or vinyl gloves. Quote
Colin the Bear Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Marigold work gloves are excellent.http://www.mccormicktools.com/Marigold- ... 4wod1n3QHA Quote
