  1. I'd be happy to just wire it back up and cover it over. How would I know if the steering lock has been snapped and whether or not it's caused serious damage. Also... How would I get the panel off...
  2. I'm thinking now it's knocked back like that because they snapped it
  3. Hi thanks for your replies so far. So I got it back today having not actually seen it. They've cut the pocket off to access the side and just punched a hole in it to access the wires. Lovely. I'm not sure if I had the steering lock on when they stole it... I'm wondering is that why they've knocked the barrel back to knock the steering lock off? No actual damage to the ignition barrel. They didn't even try it. Oh yeah snapped the seat lock of course. The black stuff everywhere is fingerprint dust. They managed to put around 100 miles on the clock before they got caught
  4. So I'm getting the bike back tomorrow. Haven't actually seen it yet but I've been told they've ripped the ignition out and cut a few wires. If I can post a few pictures here could I get some advice on how to proceed. Had the bike 2 weeks before it got stolen and it was my first ever vehicle. I'm clueless. I think it will cost 300-400 to fix at a garage so I'm wondering if possible I could do it myself as I feel I could probably manage it.
