Ok I have a fuel injection so no carbs, I've replaced the starter motor and battery in the last month. I'm in Yorkshire as indicated on my profile, I was thinking of cleaning the throttle body, but unsure about removing it, and checking the fuel filter, but I'm not a mechanic, so a little scared of removing and not being able to replace

Hi all, just got a 2015 ybr in red having difficulty starting using the ignition switch, but will eventually start with the Kickstarter, occasionally will cut out after 30-60 seconds. Any thoughts what I can check? I am not Uber mechanically minded, but can do most basic jobs.. thanks in advance

My issue is-, the bike will not start using the ignition switch, next to the throttle , but it will start using the Kickstarter

Im nit sure about the connection. It has one cable connected to the starter motor only. The relay is fine asnid the side stand switch

I don't have a run switch, only a red button to depress to start the bike which was working prior to changing the starter motor. I have not changed the battery. The neutral light comes on as does the engine light when the key is inserted, but then the engine light goes off, which is normal. It just won't start using the red starter switch

I checked the fuse, it's good. I also tested the battery with a 12v light bulb tester. It lights the bulb, but I don't have a multimeter or a battery charger. I was thinking that perhaps the ignition switch is bad?

I haven't tried jump starting it, as it starts with the Kickstarter, my issue is the electric start button won't start the engine
