Thanks for the feedback everyone. Having spoken to Horwin, the VCU is in back order and they explained I had wired the camera up to a 5v supply from the VCU which caused it to fail. I should’ve wired it to the 12v supply from the ac dc converter. An expensive lesson. I’ll keep the camera disconnected and will enjoy the new VCU once it’s installed

Hi Ridewithsyles, there is a USB port but it didn’t operate the camera properly so I snipped it off and connected the camera to the wires that powered the USB in the glovebox/storage area. The garage tried the new DC Converter, it didn’t fix the issue so just under £200 labour for that. I’m waiting for the £380 Controller to arrive and will ask to purchase that part directly myself, it’s not a tough job to swap out that part and I’ll save myself another £200 on labour. I need to get it fixed so I can use the bike properly or sell it. I’ve been keeping an eye out for parts or a bike going for scrap but no joy. Three lessons learned in the last year 1) Don’t buy a bike to save money 2) Don’t invalidate the warranty with mods 3) if I want to do the above, buy from a bigger manufacturer where parts are readily available and equipment is more reliable

Update: since I fitted a camera (hard wired), Horwin said it invalidated the warranty. I guess the terms say I shouldn’t do things like that. Personally, the camera was fitted over a year ago and the issue was a few weeks back so it’s not related. They believe the issue is one of two things. DC converter (£15 part) or Comtroller (£380). They’ve tried replacing the DC converter and it’s not that, so it’s the brain of the bike that needs replacing. Going to cost me loads now especially with labour. Easily over £650 given I’ve had to also pay the labour for the DC converter. So not a happy biker. Will have to make a call if I can order the part myself and skip the labour.

Hi, I’ve the same issue, my cr6 display stopped working. Can’t use indicators, horn, see speed or charge. No reply back from Horwin either. Julie, did you make any progress? I can’t use my bike at present
