  1. Thank you for your help and photo. It’s the actual lever that was too far down, way to far from foot peg. I was always leaning to change gear, my friends noticed behind me when riding. It’s much better now, I shall take a photo of the gear peg mod we have done
  2. Bike is fine. Started her up today without any issues. Let run for about 30 minutes. Think it’s just the cold that got to the battery. Back on smart charger now. Oil and filter change tomorrow
  3. Thank you for making yourself clearer I can’t see how the neutral switch can be damaged as I haven’t touched that part. All I have done is connected the negative and positive terminals of the smart charger to the battery. All we have done is moved the gear pedal up slightly, on the metal frame bracket, and haven’t interfered with anything else. I am busy the next couple of days, so I won’t get a chance to test the bike yet. Shall let you know if I get the Spirit started in due course. Appreciate your help Marc
  4. We just drilled a hole and moved the gear selector up. Have tested it selects gears fine. The 12v connector seems fine, as I have moved the smart charger positive connection and it charges fine. No, haven’t tried bump starting it yet, I shall do if I can’t get the bike to start. Yes, you have to hold clutch grip in to start the bike.
  5. I shall contact the dealership where I bought the bike. It is the original rubbish battery that came with the bike. I haven’t started it for over 3 months, there is nothing else connected to the bike to draw anything from the battery. It is on a smart charger now, it was strange as it seemed like the dash and the headlight are fine. My friend and I have done a modification to the gear selector pedal as I felt it was too low, so disconnected the charger for maybe 2 hours max. Went to try and start bike, there was nothing. Appreciate your comments regarding this issue. Will try again tomorrow, when I get home from work and let you know how I get on. Thank you Marc
  6. Hi to you guys. i have a 73 plate Spirit 125, but the battery has more or less died already with the original Chinese battery installed. Can someone recommend a good replacement battery please. Maybe a MaH 9 output capacity. I understand bike batteries are pretty much hopeless in the current UK climate. I have had the current battery on a smart charger in the garage, it starts fine, then dies if I leave it disconnected after a couple of hours in the cold. Any help would be really be appreciated Thanks Marc
  7. Thank you JRH, I will need to buy another 1 litre then, not just a single litre
  8. Hi all I want to change the oil and filter for a Bluroc Bullit 125 as I have just run in. Does it only take 1 litre of oil to change? Only I have found that on the web the service kit comes with just 1 litre of oil. I can’t see in the manual the correct amount of oil to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thankyou Marc
