Hi, guys. I got kind of a situation here. I was riding my scooter from work a couple of weeks ago and I was stopped by the police. The officer greeted me and asked for ID, name... I thought it was a routine check but it turns out my CBT was out of date for almost two weeks. I renewed the CBT and got my certificate, but today I got the letter with the penalty notice: 3 points and 100£ fine. This is the first time this happens to me, so I don't really know what to expect. I know my insurance premium will go up next year when I renew it, but I also need to notify the insurer about this, right? Can they cancel my insurance because of this? I need the scooter to work and to commute and I fear that if my insurance is cancelled, no other insurance company will want to work with me.
