Hello all, I am afraid that I have a new issue with my old 600 cbr honda (2001). When I try to start the engine, the electric part of the starter seems to work, but not the mechanical part. I base this assesment on the sound of the motorbike, I hear the electrics, but not anything trying to move the mechanical part/pistons. I thinkg it is likely the gear connection between the electric motor and the shaft, (although I have not openned the engine yet as want to have a clear target/s before I do so). More than happy to hear about comments from more experienced people. Comments are mpore than welcome.

I've been away from bikes for a good few years myself after flogging my Triumph, however my 81 year old father in law (he now has alzheimers so lost his licence) has a bike to sell and I'm wondering what a good price should be for it considering its age and condition. Is it something still desired, or should it be broken, or for a custom project?
