Yep. I’ve connected a 5v accessory to a 12v supply lol. Feel like a right pleb. Safely disconnected now . I’ll find another way . Thanks for the quick response

Connected usb powered heated grips to a switch live on my rear brake lever and it is somehow bypassing the heat controller switch , which means it’s red hot in 30seconds and has no way of being turned off unless I turn the bike off. The question I have is … they have never been as hot as they currently are ! And seem to be getting hotter. Have I ballsed something up here. And why would it be bypassing the temperature controller on/off switch? Please help.Honda Forza 125 2022 is the scooter.

I have an issue with. I wired my heated grips to the switch live on my rear brake lever on my forza125, but it’s bypassing the on off temperature control switch on the heated grips. So if I start the scooter , in approximately 30seconds the heated grips are red hot and I hadn’t even turned the switch on.
