Topic starter disappeared, but I will reply anyway:) if you are living in Europe - I would prefer to buy one, because one month of rental will cost you ~2500-3000 EUR. You can easily sell it later. But if you are not from Europe - of course rental is the one option, because it is too difficult for you to buy here. You can check moto rental prices here, Milan will be the cheapest city closer to Alps
