My husband was on set when Billy Connolly was riding it . He was at the time a local mechanic at his family business in Ellesmere Shropshire and was asked to keep it in order during filming . The film was set at Ellesmere college in Ellesmere . The bike was chosen because Billy Connolly had actually owned one and knew how to ride it .
