I recently discovered my mate has to pull out of our 5 day Euro plan, so next week I’ll be going solo. I’ve booked the first night in Bastogne, with a view of heading to Baden Baden for day 2, and see where that might take me. Although I see the B500 has changed to deter bikes?!
Going solo for me means missing someone else to share the fun, food and beer with. But I also take from these posts the importance to enjoy the ride and not rush to get somewhere. I think up to 5 hours a day is fine.
I’ve not seen anyone mention breakdown cover, but theres a vast amount of info on line of what others have used. When solo we don’t have the safety net of traveling with others, so worth being prepared.
I’m leaving next week from Berkshire, mid-morning tunnel booked. Would welcome any suggestions on places to visit/stay
