I have been thinking of a Bluetooth headset for basically listening to music as I tend to ride on my own. My wife is currently going through the process of obtaining full licence so it made sense to get a pair to allow communication with her when we are out together. Obviously the Scala units are the best but totally out of my budget. Being a bit OCD I took my time but so far I'm really impressed. Fairly basic operation that allows two way talk, MP3 and mobile phone. If they allow either one of us to alert the other of a potential threat when we are on the road they'll be worth every penny. Adjustable volume, intercom, and phone answer via the big turn wheel and 2 large buttons which should be easy enough even with gloves on. Time will tell but for under £60 I'm not expecting miracles. Will update when road tested.

Something changed today and I hope (pretty sure) that's it's a positive. Obtained full licence in July and have been getting as many miles under my belt as possible. Only ride for pleasure. Went out for a few hours alone today and things were just all round lighter and more relaxed. By lighter I mean not only the grip but the arms, legs, backside! Cornering especially at large roundabouts was a lot more fluid and although aware of the damp conditions I felt a lot more 'lean' and a lot less steer. My question is, have I reached point that some experience brings or am I getting ahead of myself? The level of lean was a lot more than I've been comfortable with before but I suppose tyres are there to be used.

After taking some advise from the members on this site I decided to buy R&G frame sliders and fork protectors. Picked them up at the Bike show for a decent price and fitted today. Probably because I didn't need to cut any fairings I had a go myself. The quality of the kit is superb, really well machined parts and relatively easy to fit. Took about 2 hours all in and I was really taking my time. Now just hope I never have to rely on them!

Don't regret buying my GSX650F as a first 'proper' bike for a second. Superb bike and an affordable price, even new! It will be a stepping stone but to cut my teeth on I can't fault it.

Hi all. Can anyone offer some reassurance before I make myself look a fool by contacting the dealer? New GSX650F just coming into the end of running in period so will be going in for oil change in next few days. The bike has a hydraulic clutch and there's a fluid reservoir next to the lever exactly the same as the brak fluid reservoir. Question is, the colour of the fluid in each reservoir is different with the brake fluid a lot clearer and straw like in colour whereas the clutch fluid is more the colour of a cup of tea with no milk! I'm assuming this is perfectly normal? I always thought brake and clutch fluid was the same though. Thanks guys.

I opted for the monokey box which apparently is designed more for large scooter use, whatever that means. I chose the 30 ltr box which is the baby of the bunch not on cost but it seemed the most suitable. I was concerned the larger 47 litre box would effect rear vision and the 30 ltr box sits perfectly behind me and doesnt interfere at all. Haven't noticed any difference in handling, drag, noise etc so really quite chuffed. Dead easy to remove if not required and top quality fixings, build. Very solid feel, no vibrations. Sounds like I struck lucky though with the fixing points.

Just fitted Givi arms, plate and top box to GSX650F. Must say it was so simple I thought I must have got it wrong! So far so good, let's see what happens on the road.
