Thanks guys. How much is it normally for a frame? The guy said 100 then added the swingarm and it costs an extra 50. Sounds a bit steep if he is doing the frame anyway. Or am I just tight? Hehe

Hi all. I am set to paint and spray my frame (from a can). Now I just went to see how much sandblasting costs and the guy there tried to sell me the coating of the frame too which is more than I want to spend. He did then say it would be more solid than cold spraying it and it wouldnt chip as quick blah blah blah. My question is this true and to what extent would it be easier to chip? Also what would you guys do? I am going to put a few undercoats on and also a few coats of the black. Thanks in advance Gareth

Stripped quite alot including all cables, rear mudguard, handlebar with all components, tank, seat etc... Now need to get a centre stand which is hard to find on the cheap so I can take engine off, wheels, forks and suspensions (unless anyone has ideas for alternative things to get the bike to be jacked). After dismanteling the hard graft starts I will be cleaning engine and respraying black also will be sanding down the frame and respraying this. Then to put everything back together with new and existing parts.

Thanks for the replies guys. Been told halogen heaters are good and cheap to run. Tho I do like that fan heater advertised.

Hi all. As some of you know I am restoring a Suzuki GS125 (1987 year) as it is an older bike I am struggling to find certain parts. I am checking also with a local Bike dealer what he can get but it would be nice to compare. So just wanted to know if any of you knew of a website/dealer that sells older model bike parts? Also need some advice regards speedometers, is it possible to put a universal one on the bike? Only reason I ask is that the dealer told me it is possible to fit but it would not be suited for the bike. Calibration etc.. Is this true? Thanks in advance Gareth
