There won't be a next time hopefully, im a good luber and il make sure i look at all the warning signs of a bad chain so il change it before this happens

I lube it after every ride because my cbt instructor said its best too and i knew i needed to get a new chain soon but not now But do you also check the chains tension on a regular basis, or was it just flapping around and that was the reason it came off? You got off lightly with just the chainguard damage the chain could have caused far more, including locking the rear wheel and you ending up in hospital because of it. The chain could also have snapped and ripped into your leg, not nice! Nope i didn't, think i checked it once or twice there wasn't any obvious hanging so i thought it would be okay, it did lock up my rear wheel, jumped off the sprocket and goy stuck between the bolts and the swing arm and was more like an emergency stop wasn't too bad didn't lose balace just looked at the back like" why me"

It's a drain/overflow pipe, every carbed bike has them and they hang down. By randomly connecting a leaky one to something it is not meant to connect to you are now filling something with the leaking petrol. If you've connected the overflow tube to the oil breather - You will now have fuel in your oil which, in turn, will seriously damage your engine/gearbox!cant remember what its called where i put it in but it was upright and the leak didnt have enough force to push it up For the little cost of getting a Haynes Manual and spending a few minutes reading it, you can save yourself a shed-load of trouble.I plan to get one Also, why have you needed to adjust your tickover so high? What did you adjust to achieve this?I adusted it to stop it cutting out at traffic lights etc and i turned the idle screw to do it

I know its thd overflow i took it out of the hole i put it in ages ago, it hangs where it should now and its not leaking anymore.

Forgot i posted this and i increased the idle to 1900-2000 and its all fine and dandy and now i remember to turn my feull off so no more leaks

So the skyjet is another cbr look alike, its basically a honda cg in sports bike(cbr) fairings but it looks the part and i'm happy to ride her around. I've had this bike for about 1 and a 1/2 months, haven't had many problems and it seems they were due to what previous owners had done to it. When i originally got it, it had trouble idling and was missing some bolts for the fairings, I've now increased the idle to 1900-2000 and that's stopped the bike cutting out when stopped at traffic lights. Pros Its sexy. Cost me 500 second hand. Around 14£ for a full tank. Gets about 95-100 mpg. Cheap to fix. Cons Battery sucks replace a soon as possible as i'm constantly having to kickstart it after i stall or if i haven't ridden for a couple of days. Headlights aren't the brightest. The bike is pretty big for a 125 but it has a comfy seat and nice riding position, I'm 5'11 and this bike has a relatively low seat height and i find it easy to manipulate and sit comfortably, I would say the shortest person to use this bike comfortably would be 5'8 or have an inside leg of 28-30. If you stall the electric start will will give you 1-2 tries and it can be a bit touch and go and you will most probably have to either turn lights off to electric start or kick start it. This bike does relatively well for long journeys 2-3hour rides (my longest ride) While taking regular breaks to keep up concentration to ride safely and I have no problems with the seating position or how comfortable the seat is and I find all my rides enjoyable and can ride confidently. I know how everyone slams chinese bike but i would say with regular maintenance there's no reason it couldn't be as good as any other motorbike. I have also dropped this bike when i first bought it and the bike is strong and there wasn't any damage to fairings or the footpeg, only damage was to my pride :/ and i scuffed my helmet as i laid my head in shame at the way the bike pulled me down with it oh and the clutch handle is a little wobbly now but it's still in good condition. Would i buy another? Yes but id buy it new because then id be the only person who ever loved it aha. I plan to add to this thread in the future to build up a better profile for this bike . Kisha <3

Thanks guys il be sorting the bike out today and i may have found ahole for that pipe yesterday and plugged it in ... :/

So there is this stray wire dripping petrol over the floor it tio me a while to find it and it manged to end up dripping next to my foot peg but missed and created a lovely puddle next to my bike, put a waterproof sheet under my bike just incase there was ever a leak, but now i dont have a clue where this wire goes any help please? Googled the part it was and i think its the black cable at the bottom on the photo. Also i knocked that lever on the side up have that messed something else up?
