  1. Yeah that does seem to be all that it is, the 2 at the front and then the one holding it under the passenger peg I believe. Alright I'll give it a whack then once I get the bike back home. I'd rather try £60 odd quid than spend £200+ at the garage
  2. Thanks! Yeah, tiredness meant I wasn't too fussed this morning but now I'm so angry. Looking like I'll have to get a whole exhaust replacement...might just throw it in to the stealership for a full service/look over, I have no idea what else this toad could've fiddled with. [Edit] Oh that's a lot cheaper than the ones I've seen (admittedly would probably have to ACF it as looks a bit rusty), I've only just recently started doing things to the bike myself and I've got as far as replacing a snapped indicator and doing the basic chain maintenance; not sure I'd be comfortable doing an exhaust myself
  3. Hey, Finished a nightshift this morning to go to ride home and discover the bike looks a bit odd. Went to security who told me they'd chased a guy away overnight from the parked bikes but not managed to catch him. My bike is currently stuck at work until tomorrow morning where I can get it picked up and taken to a garage as I'm working again tonight, but what is this part and does anybody know roughly how much it'll be to get it fixed? It's the piping in the top right of the engine that comes down to make the exhaust...or is that the entire exhaust? http://www.motorcyclesupermarket.com/images/bikes/images/10921.1354273459.CBF125REDBLACK_003.jpg
  4. Stu you are a bloody legend! Although I still don't know how you got those to line up so easily hahah, if you saw how wobbly I am lining them up and yeah as you say one side pops out. Only because it felt like it wouldn't actually go in any further
  5. God knows, knowing my luck it's a dodgy helmet (that just sounds so wrong haha) I'd rather minimise the amount of times i remove satan's spawn of visors. Kept getting one side back in but the other refused, so put that side in first and the original easy one then refused to line up
  6. Got it off no issues, the pinlock fits properly, there's no loose bits or bubbles or anything. I think this helmet just maybe doesn't have as great ventilation as my old shark s2000, rode in the rain yesterday to work with all 3 vents open and didn't seem to have any issues, just a cold face Took 13 minutes to get the visor back on the helmet though... THIRTEEN DAMN MINUTES
  7. Yeah piece of piss poor design Just feels like it's going to snap when I try and put it back in, I hate it!
  8. Both when moving and stationary. I didn't know about being able to tighten the pins though, handy tip! Shall try that when I get some spare time this week, just such a shame the Arai visor removal is such a bloody pain in the ass
  9. So, despite having a pinlock I still find the top part of the visor is fogging, some of this even appears to be going onto the top rim of the pinlock too. Is there a way to prevent this? It's not just in the rain either, in the dry (but cold) it's also fogging. I've tried riding with the chin visor open but that still seems to result in fogging. Not a huge issue just a small annoyance really
  10. There's also an infinity in Clapham, can get the overground from the docklands
  11. The WD40 seems to have worked wonders, I did it about 4 times over the course of a day and now it appears no sticking at all. Also, found that if I don't FULLY turn the wheel before putting on steering lock then it works a lot better. When the wheel is fully turned and I go to put the steering lock on the wheel kind of jumps back a bit towards centre before the lock engages
  12. was a very simple idea, I feel really dumb for not thinking of it. The spare does turn a bit better but it definitely still gets caught up from time to time
  13. I've found the issue is worse when it's cold/wet but sometimes my key won't turn in the ignition, and I'm stuck for 5 mins trying to get the steering lock off. Guy at the garage suggested some WD40 down the slot, other things I've read have included heating the key. Does anybody have any other idea? I've currently got the WD40 sitting in the lock. The key does turn eventually with a lot of removal and reinsertion and jiggling of the handle bars but it's a major PITA
  14. I had Navmii on my phone for driving (yes I know shoot me) which worked a treat, it was literally just a case of inputting the address and it ended up looking like a TomTom. Had to take it off though as my poor 16GB iPhone is starting to run out of space. Definitely think it's the superior option to google maps for sure
  15. I want to change my aquatex for a stormex, just because I woke up one morning to find it on the rosebush across the road, since then I've also started chaining it through the front wheel. Now, according to this http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... prod/46433 I should get a small, however by cbf has a top box. Does anybody know how much leeway is in the cover, and whether a medium would be a better fit for a 125 with top box?
  16. In that case I'll make sure I buy a couple of packs to keep in the bathroom! Yeah, the leathers are overly tight at the moment due to them only having been worn twice but the guy in the shop did say they'll mould to me as I wear them. I literally only wear the sports 'skins' that I use for rugby and athletics under the trousers and skins and a tshirt or skins and a thin long sleeve top under the jacket. Even in this recent cold weather it's been alright and it's only a half hour ride each way to work. Although if it does get much colder I think I'll be bringing the Richa textiles back out
  17. Thanks all for the welcome and the replies I did buy some of this for my gloves but wasn't sure about how well it would spread over a 2 piece as the bottle is fairly small. I guess I'll still just wear it in light rain but for any of the heavy stuff I'll be sure to keep a set of waterproofs in the top box I guess. This is actually something I've read online but wasn't sure how true it is but if it comes from the bran themselves..! Is that literally it, doesn't add a conditioner or anything afterwards?
  18. So I'm still in my 1st year of riding, have recently moved from textiles to leathers purely for a safety point of view rather than aesthetics or anything. Purchased myself some RST Blade jacket & trousers, and some A* SP8 gloves (although I'm struggling to find inners that actually fit inside these!). I commute about 7 miles to work, I'm just wondering if there is any way to add some waterproofing to the leathers. I don't mind getting a bit damp in a shower but am just wondering if I can improve it at all. I currently wear some of my rugby skins under the trousers and a hiking base layer under the jacket with either a tshirt or long sleeved top. I've got leather a cleaner and a conditioner but I don't think these waterproof do they?
